We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Jenny Griffiths as Chair of Eikon’s Board of Trustees.
Jenny has an extremely robust skills set and a wealth of knowledge of the volunteer youth sector. She has held the position of Independent Chair of Surrey Connexions and more recently was the Independent Chair of The Youth Consortium. In addition, Jenny was awarded an OBE for services to young people in 2006.
We are very much looking forward to working with Jenny during this crucial time in our charity’s development.
Jenny takes over from Nigel Blair who steps down from the position of Chair after many years of faithful and dedicated service. While reflecting on his time as Chair, Nigel states, “I have been in this role for a number of years and I believe that now is the opportune time to pass on the baton to someone with fresh insights, enthusiasm and experience to oversee the next phase of Eikon’s expansion and development. I am extremely encouraged how Eikon has evolved and grown over the past few years and am optimistic about the future potential I see within the organisation for continued expansion.
I personally wish to acknowledge and thank the professional and hard working team of employees and volunteers, the dedication and vision of the Trustees and valued specialist advisers and the generous benefactors and donors (both large and small)l who together enable Eikon to function and provide such a meaningful and inspirational impact to the lives of young people with whom we have the privilege of working”.
Nigel will remain on the Board as a Trustee.
