FREE Qualification with Volunteering Role

‘Support your local community and gain a FREE Qualification with the possibility of future employment’

We are currently recruiting for volunteer minibus drivers to help with our new “Friday Night Project” based at the Arena Leisure Centre, providing subsidised access to a leisure setting for young people who might otherwise not get the opportunity to be active. To become a volunteer, a driver’s license is required but no minibus experience is necessary – as part of the opportunity you will be enrolled on a Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS), a recognised, certificated course within the Community Transport sector, free of charge. This certificate can be transferred to volunteering or employment opportunities with other CT providers, including our own Community Transport service!  Due to the nature of the role candidates must be willing to undertake a DBS check.

If you are passionate about supporting your local community we would love to hear from you! For more information about the role, please contact craig.alford@surreyheath.gov.uk’

This project is being set up in partnership with The Eikon Charity, the Arena Leisure Centre and Active Surrey’
