Children’s Mental Health Week 2025 ‘Know Yourself, Grow Yourself’
School Resources
Children’s Mental Health Week (February 3 – 9 2025) is an important opportunity to raise awareness and encourage open discussions around mental wellbeing. Being able to communicate with others about how we feel is essential to feel good and function well.
Eikon’s Wellbeing Ambassadors learn the importance of The 5 Ways to Wellbeing: connecting, keeping learning, being active, taking notice and giving. And this year, Children’s Mental Health Week is a great opportunity for Wellbeing Ambassadors to empower others to talk about wellbeing.
We have used this evidence-informed approach within the materials below and have a range of options to support children and young people in leading assemblies and activities across the week. This includes a pre-recorded assembly presentation (primary and secondary) and various activities for break/ lunch and classrooms.
We encourage schools participating in the Wellbeing Ambassador programme to have their ambassadors organise activities across the week. However, these resources are for all schools, and you will find something for everyone in what we have provided below.

Whole School Assemblies
We have produced PowerPoint presentations with notes, for both Primary and Secondary schools, and encourage your Wellbeing Ambassadors to lead whole school assemblies.
For schools that do not have Wellbeing Ambassadors or if your group is not ready to present, we have a pre-recorded version you can play!

For Wellbeing Ambassadors
If you’ve participated in our Wellbeing Ambassador Programme, why not ask your ambassadors to create some of their own activities throughout the week?
They could set up an Ambassador Q&A panel discussion where Wellbeing Ambassadors can share their experiences as ambassadors, answer students’ questions on wellbeing in school, and give their top tips on the 5 ways to wellbeing.
Have the Wellbeing Ambassadors write a blog or a newsletter and share their thoughts on mental wellbeing, tips on how to feel good and function well, or interview other pupils and staff about how they manage emotions and self-care tips. They could even carry out a survey to understand the views of others and share them with senior leaders in the school via a newsletter.
Or create an Awareness Campaign, and involve Wellbeing Ambassadors in creating posters, a display board or social media content to raise awareness about the importance of mental wellbeing, encouraging everyone to talk about it openly.
We want to hear about it all!
Whatever you and your school chooses to do during Children’s Mental Health Week, we’d love to hear about what you’ve been up to! Can we feature part of your school’s experience on our website? Let us know by giving us a few details below, and we’ll be in touch after the February half-term to learn more.
