On the 8th June, a group of students from East Surrey College organised a great outdoor summer college fundraiser event. The students wanted to support their peers in Surrey, and raised a fantastic £264 for Eikon!
It all started with a discussion during their community project class and ended with a crowded, cheerful, sunny party on the college grounds…
The staff and students organised for the college fundraiser event to have an authentic pizza oven van on site selling wood fired pizzas. And with the support of friends, families, staff members and the local community, the students collected many prizes for their tombola, the proceeds of which were all donated to Eikon to help other young people.
The college fundraiser event was a fun opportunity for staff and learners to mix and mingle in the sun, and there was so much positive feedback…
